Decatur, IL. – On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Jesse Reising discussed his candidacy for Illinois’ 13th Congressional District with host Brian Byers on WSOY 1340 AM radio show Byers and Co.
When asked why he was running for Congress, Reising noted rising inflation hurting families, skyrocketing crime rates and the Biden Administration projecting weakness to adversaries and allies on the international stage. Being a sixth generation son of Decatur, he also noted the gerrymandered district. “It’s clear that the Madigan machine had drawn this district just for their insider bureaucrat candidate,” said Reising.
In Congress, Jesse will work to restore the first principles of limited government, free enterprise, and individual responsibility. With his proven track record of getting results, he plans to serve the district by putting the interests of Central and Southern Illinois first.
“My message is resonating with folks because they’re concerned with kitchen table issues that all Americans are concerned about,” said Reising. “The rising cost of living, having a difficult time affording groceries or being able to fill up your truck with a tank of gas.”
